Use these activities to enhance your study of apples!
Apple Pin poking: There are 2 designs for pin poking included. Print them on construction paper and cut into quarters.
Apple Cutting Strips: Add these to your shelf with scissors and small envelopes.
Apple 1-10 Cards: Print these apples onto cardstock, cut, and laminate for prolonged use. Add them to your math shelf with counters. Consider also, having the children trace the numbers with a dry erase marker for handwriting practice.
Pomologist ID Badge: Put these ID badges on your shelf with a marker, hole punch, string.
Apple Scavenger Hunt: The color sheet with words can be printed, laminated, and hung around the room. Children can walk around the room with the documentation sheet on a clipboard to write the words as they are found. Alternatively they can be used with the Moveable Alphabet. We do an exercise called “Read. Spell. Write.”
Apple and Worm Booklet: Children can color, cut, assemble, and read this sweet little booklet which has a great lesson!
"The Son of Man" with Paper Craft: Children can make their own apple to look like Rene Magritte's painting.
