This bundle includes:

1. Backyard Bird Toob Cards (M): This features 7 bird cards that correspond to the Toob Backyard Bird figurines.

2. Backyard Bird Scavenger Hunt (M): Print and laminate large cards. Hide them around your environment. Print student sheets and accompany them with a clipboard and pencil. Children copy write the words onto their student sheet as they find them.

3. Bird Cutting Strips + Envelopes (L): Print and cut into strips. Have them available with scissors, a bowl, and envelopes for the cut pieces. 

4. Bird Pinpricking Templates (L): This is a 3 page file to add to your bird unit. It contains a page with four birds, a page with three feathers, and a page with two masks. I suggest printing the birds and feathers on a variety of colors of construction paper to have available on your language shelf with pinpricking supplies. Print the masks on cardstock and provide the children with supplies to decorate. Consider reading Firebird by Misty Copeland and listening/dancing to “The Firebird” by Igor Stravinsky.

5. Make a Bird Papercraft (M): Print on cardstock. Children can color/paint pieces, then cut and use paper fasteners to put this movable bird together. 

6. Flying Bird Papercraft (L): Print out this file. Cut out. Fold on the lines and tape closed. Attach to the back of the bird. Insert a straw and BLOW! 

7. I Am An Ornithologist (L): Put out these ID badges with a marker, hole punch, string.

8. Common Bird Riddles (L): Print onto cardstock, laminate, and cut out these cards. Read the riddle to the child and have them figure out the answer. 10 riddles included.

9. Bird Word Writing (M): Print small cards double sided (pictures on front, word on the back) or print them separately and hang them up on a wall above a table next to each other. Provide a pencil and student sheet for students to copy write the words and practice line placement. 

10.  Bird Tracing (M): This includes four birds: Anna’s Hummingbird, American Robin, Western Bluebird and Steller’s Jay. 

11. Feather Color Mixing (M): Print on cardstock and use these colors or mix them together to paint feathers. Watercolors suggested. 

12.  Foldable Bird Books (M): Print these on xerox paper. Fold in half and then half again. The name of the bird should be on the front. Pair this with the Bird Book Guide so children can color the birds and eggs according to the pictures.

13. Bird Book Guide/Badges (M): Print this and display along with the Foldable Bird Books OR print and cut into circles for children to collect their “bird watching” badges.

14.  #1-10 Cards (L): Print these talkative tufted titmice onto cardstock, cut, and laminate for prolonged use. Add them to your math shelf with 55 small objects for counting.

15.  Rattlin’ Bog Puppets and Lyrics (L): The song “Rattlin’ Bog” is an Irish folk song. This file can be printed, cut, and laminated to be used while singing the song. 16. Animal Research Sheet (L): Use this sheet to document animal facts.
